About the event
Gemstone Roundtable events are exclusive evenings where guests have the chance to view and purchase gemstones directly from a gem expert. Over food and wine, guests have the chance to “flirt” with a wide array of gemstones from around the world.
"I have been in the jewelry business for over 30 years. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to further my career in designing and stone cutting. I currently work on contract basis for many boutiques and galleries in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Over the years I have won many awards and written about it in numerous magazines in the states and abroad. Among my awards are the Gemmys, Cutting Edge, American Pearl Company, AZ Jewelry Design competition and the Headley-Whitley Bibliot competition. My work has also been exhibited at the Lizzardo Museum.
My main focus for design seems to center around nature and all it has to offer. I look to nature for different color groupings, exotic patterns, and the “not so ordinary” flowers and animals. I also enjoy mining my own stones when possible so that I can take my piece of art from the earth to the showroom." - Darryl Alexander
